Dr Jana Kostarová, MBBS

Dr Kostarová is a highly experienced doctor specialising in endocrinology and diabetology. She began her medical career in the internal medicine departments and outpatient clinics of various hospitals, where, over the course of nine years, she acquired a solid clinical foundation in the care of patients with both acute and chronic internal medical conditions. At the same time, she worked at a number of specialist centres, focusing primarily on the diagnosis and treatment of patients with endocrinological and diabetological conditions. During her 11 years in private practice, she has been involved in the management of clinical trials as an investigator on a long-term basis. She continues to undertake further training and has completed specialist courses focusing, amongst other things, on modern approaches in diabetology – including the use of glucose sensors – and on the screening for diabetic complications. In addition to her main specialisation, she also practises osteology, which complements her clinical practice and thus contributes to a broader perspective on metabolic disorders. Thanks to her combined experience in internal medicine, endocrinology, diabetology and osteology, she has a very broad clinical perspective, which she applies in her comprehensive and personalised approach to patients.
